Privacy policy
Your tracking stays between your devices.
Effective and last updated 24 July 2026.
1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the PoseSix website, PoseSix on iPhone, PoseSix on Windows, software downloads, and support communications. PoseSix is the name used for the software and support service described in this policy.
PoseSix does not require an account. The apps do not include advertising or app analytics. Your movement stays between your paired devices, and support reports stay on your PC unless you choose to share one.
2. PoseSix on iPhone
The iPhone’s built-in face tracking follows your head. PoseSix receives the resulting movement information, not camera images.
While tracking is active, the app sends your head movement and the information needed to keep the connection working to the Windows PC you paired. It also sends your iPhone’s name so you can recognise it in the Windows app.
The iPhone securely stores the information it needs to remember your paired PC. Camera access is used to scan the pairing code and follow your head. Local Network access lets the iPhone and PC work together.
3. PoseSix on Windows
The Windows app receives movement from the paired iPhone and makes it available to compatible games. This happens on your PC.
To choose saved settings for the game you are playing, PoseSix can look at the names and locations of running apps. This information stays on your PC. PoseSix remembers an app’s location only when you save settings for it.
The Windows app stores the paired phone name, the information needed to reconnect, your game settings, and your app preferences on your PC.
4. Connecting your devices
PoseSix sends movement directly between your iPhone and PC over the network they share. Pairing lets the Windows app recognise the iPhone you chose.
The movement sent between your devices is not encrypted. Use PoseSix only on a network you trust. Pair the apps again if someone else may have seen your pairing code.
5. Support reports
PoseSix does not create or upload support reports automatically. When you choose Collect report in the Windows app, PoseSix saves a report on your PC. It can include:
- your phone name and network information;
- the PoseSix and Windows versions you use;
- the game and saved settings in use;
- connection and error information; and
- a small set of recent movement samples.
The information used to pair your devices and the full location of your game are not included. You decide whether to send a report to support. Review it before sharing because it can contain device, network, game-setting, and movement information.
6. Website and download information
The PoseSix website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how well the site performs. It is designed not to identify visitors with cookies or other tracking techniques. PoseSix does not use advertising or behavioural tracking.
Cloudflare helps deliver the website and Windows downloads. Like other website providers, it can handle information such as your internet address, browser, device, requested page or download, time of the request, and security signals. Cloudflare handles this information under its own privacy policy.
7. Information you choose to send
When you email support or manually send a support report, we receive the information you include. This can include your email address, device and software details, description of the problem, and any attached files.
Do not send a support report unless it is needed. Do not include information unrelated to the issue.
8. App stores and platform providers
Apple, Microsoft, payment providers, and distribution providers may independently process purchases, downloads, crash reports, account information, or device information under their own terms and privacy policies. PoseSix does not receive full payment-card details.
Apple provides the App Store and iPhone system features. Microsoft provides Windows system and download features. Those providers control how their own services handle information.
9. How we use information
We use information we receive only as reasonably necessary to:
- respond to support, privacy, and legal requests;
- diagnose reported faults and improve PoseSix;
- deliver and protect the website and downloads;
- prevent misuse and maintain security; and
- meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Where UK or European data-protection law applies, the relevant legal bases can include performing a contract or taking steps at your request, our legitimate interests in supporting and securing PoseSix, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we specifically request it. You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
10. Sharing and international processing
We do not sell personal information. We can share limited information with service providers that host the website, deliver downloads, operate email, or provide app distribution, and with professional advisers or public authorities when reasonably necessary or legally required.
Some providers may process information in other countries. Where required, transfers are protected using applicable legal safeguards. Third-party services remain subject to their own privacy terms.
11. Retention and deletion
App information remains on your devices until you replace or remove it. Use Forget PC on iPhone or forget the paired iPhone in Windows Settings to end the pairing. Support reports can be deleted in File Explorer. Saved game settings and app preferences can be reset or removed in PoseSix or Windows.
Support communications are retained only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain support history, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect PoseSix. Website and download infrastructure records are retained according to the provider’s settings and retention practices.
12. Security
PoseSix limits the information sent outside your devices and uses built-in security to store information. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your iPhone, PC, network, pairing code, support reports, and anything you choose to share.
13. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority.
For UK complaints, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us first if you would like us to address a concern. Because the apps keep most information locally, we may not possess the app data you are asking about.
14. Children
PoseSix does not require an account and does not knowingly collect information directly from children through the apps. If a child sends personal information to support, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when PoseSix, its distribution, or legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date will remain available at this URL.
16. Contact
For privacy or support questions, contact PoseSix at [email protected].
